Lykke Kaffegård
Okey Malmö... the time has come, december is around the corner and it is time to turn a new page here at Djäkne. We have decided to change up some stuff around the coffee that we usually serve. We will still have quality specialty coffee at our bar but instead of bringing in new roasteries every week we will have a new one coming in every month. We hope that you are as excited as we are and to kick this new era of we present the first roastery to you...
Lykke Kaffegård
How do you run a coffee business without harming anyone or anything in the process?
That was the question Lykke asked themselves when they started and it has since become thier task to do just that. They do this by challenging the normal way of doing things, by actually growing, buying and roasting the coffee themselves, with the humble goal of influencing the coffee industry for the better. So that we can all enjoy a really good cup of coffee in 50 years. So how do you turn the coffee industry upside down, and why should you even try? By letting the coffee farmers decide. For them, that is the only way. They roast the coffee in Stockholm and Berlin. The reason for this is that their friend in Berlin has a large roastery and they can use the overcapacity to roast Lykke coffee. An added bonus for this is that the coffee weighs 20% less, which means less unnecessary transport because all coffee lands in Germany before it goes to the rest of Europe.
